PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

This transformative 17-day program immerses participants in the heart of the Himalayas, specifically in the remote Solukhumbu region of Nepal. The focus is on actively engaging with local communities to enhance education accessibility through sustainable projects led by The Small World.

Participants will work shoulder-to-shoulder with community members on a project aimed at improving girls' access to education. This hands-on experience provides a deep understanding of the challenges these communities face and the positive impact that dedicated efforts can bring.

As part of the program, participants will not only contribute to the construction of a structure supporting girls' education but also gain insights into Nepali culture. The trek through Sherpa villages adds a unique dimension to the experience, allowing for cultural exchange and firsthand learning about the region's challenges.

Teachers pied in the face

Our Coronado Interact Club led a fundraised where the teacher with the most amount of money donated towards them would get pied in the face. Mr. Hartman won with a total of $77 dollars, so he got a nice pie to the face. The fundraiser ended up making around $250 dollars! The donations are going to our members going on the Nepal trip! Thank you all for donating!

Trunk or treat

This halloween, our Interact club went to trailblazer elementery school and handed out candy to the kids! Eliza Lauritzen made a video on the trip that you can click here to watch!
